So Excited!

Oh im really excited today as we have just had confirmation that our shop can now be stockists of some amazing wallpaper that we've wanted to stock for ages!
It's so unusual and fits in perfectly with the House brand as its really industrial in style and unlike anything around. I always liked the idea of having a wooden feature wall, but this will take away all the hassle!
I'd been looking for something to feature alongside our 'Library' wallpaper By Andrew Martin which we bought from Aunty Mabels Seat which looks amazing!

The wallpaper is really easy to hang, simply paste the wall and hang! Easy peesy. The Paper doesn't repeat so you can use all the paper so there's no waste (saving you money)

After careful deliberation we've chosen to go for this one for our wall, what do you think?...

There are so many to choose from I may change my mind before next week! Here are a few others they have. Let me know your thoughts. Prices are RRP £199 and worth every penny for the wow factor!
This nursery has used something similar to create this amazing backdrop, there are so many ways to use it! How about in a kitchen or dining room maybe?

Take a look at their house here, for other cool ideas!

For something different how about these metallic paper Brooklyn Wall Tiles. Very simple to hang and again an instant wow factor every time friends are round. Prices start from RRP £219 per roll. Check out www.houseknutsford.co.uk for more info or call the shop on 01565633141.

Design Inspiration.

We always look to photography and various blogs to be inspired. Its a great place to view ideas and speak to like minded people.

The idea of styling a room with items that are shabby chic is now extremely popular and a typical style you are likely to see is Laura Ashley or other high street stores.

I wouldn't say my style is shabby chic but a mixture of all styles grouped together. (basically I don't know what i like ha ha) I guess I am eclectic? mixing together pieces from all different era's and countries.

Here are a few of my pins from my board on Pinterest which will help understand the love I have of all things old, reused, recycled and most of all reloved.

A Visit to Wiltshire

I was lucky enough to be treated to a trip away in Wiltshire a couple of weeks ago for my Birthday.

I must show you what we got up to and the photographs of the 'Old Stables' at Crockerton House B&B where we stayed, it was amazing!

Castle Combe

The lovely town of Castle Combe.

The cottages are so pretty, its like a chocolate box town. Unspoilt.

The men in my life! Guy and our dog Hugo.

Lacock

We had been told about Lacock by a friend at RawXclusive. Its always good to be recommended places by friends as you know it must be nice if they have been.

Lacock is a village in Wiltshire, England, 3 miles (5 km) from the town of Chippenham. The village is owned almost in its entirety by the National Trust, and attracts many visitors by virtue of its unspoiled appearance.

The village has also been used as a film and television set, notably for the 1995 BBC production of Pride and Prejudice, the 2007 BBC production of Cranford. It has also made brief appearances in the Harry Potter films Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

The Old Stables.

Crockerton House is a luxury B&B in Crockerton. We stayed in the newly developed self catering holiday cottage, which has been beautifully converted. It is secluded in a lovely rural location with wonderful views of the Wylye Valley. The Old Stables are a perfect hideaway for couples looking to leave behind the stress of their daily lives and unwind in peaceful and luxurious surroundings.

A walk in the woods

We as always can never relax and wanted to do as much as possible. We were in a really good spot central to everywhere we wanted to go.
Below are a few shots of some of the places we stopped off at along the way.

Gold Hill in Shaftsbury featured in the Hovis Advert.

I'll just rest on this railing a minute!

Guy doesn't look very happy to be climbing this hill.

Shaftsbury was a beautiful place to visit, its just a shame we got there early on a Sunday because all the small independants seemed closed. We will have to go again!
